The Carer Poverty Project – a joint campaign by Medway Foodbank and Carers First is raising awareness of the severe financial hardship faced by unpaid carers.
At Medway Foodbank, we know many carers are being pushed to the brink, with some relying on food banks just to get by.
Following their initial coverage, Meridian News is filming a follow-up story and wants to hear directly from carers who’ve used a foodbank. If you are, or have been, an unpaid carer in this situation, your voice could be a powerful force for change.
As a thankyou, carers who are interviewed and whose stories are featured in the media will receive a supermarket voucher in appreciation of their time and contribution.
Your story can help:
- Shine a light on the reality of carer poverty
- Influence decision-makers
- Improve support for carers in Medway and beyond
You won’t be alone – Medway Foodbank and Carers First will support you every step of the way.
